Of Biopsy Results and Book Reviews

I’ve been quiet lately because I had another biopsy yesterday. The results, which will come next week, should tell us what stage cancer I have.

Because of those other things going on in my life, I’m afraid I’m dreadfully behind on reading the blogs I follow. I was hoping to catch up, but I think I need to accept that’s not going to happen. I’ll start afresh next week.

In the meantime, I’ve been dealing with a much more pleasant form of evaluation. I’m getting positive book reviews of The Ambitious Madame Bonaparte on both Amazon and Goodreads. Click on the links to check them out.

  1. I have read your reviews and look forward to the read. A friend of mine, Ionia Martin, at Readful Things blog beat cancer! It can be done! Hoping that your news will be of the better sort.

  2. Congratulations on your reviews. May your book sell millions. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not sure how much prayers can do but I know about words. I hope your results can offer you the brightest way to being happy and healthy once again.

  4. Wow! Those are good reviews! Congratulations!
And I hope you get the best possible news on your test results.

  5. Wishing you all the best. I hope everything turns out for the best.

  6. I am so pleased to read such positive feedback on your book and to see so much enthusiasm! What excellent news! Congratulations! Allow that positive energy to feed your mind and health as well. I am saddened to learn that you are going through cancer. There have been several instances of such in my own family in various forms, and each person afflicted purged the disease from their bodies without any return of the condition. Obviously, the stress and treatment can be unpleasant, but your family and friends will be there to give you support, and good health and long life await you. It is easy enough to say “don’t worry” but it is foolish to think you won’t. So, my wish is that you will keep positive. It DOES help. It has been concluded by more than one medical study that attitude affects approximately 90% of outcomes. If I had a magic wand to wave and relieve you of this burden, I certainly would, but I can only offer my sincere wishes for you to get through this quickly and with as comfortable and uneventful a recovery as possible. There are a wide range of treatments, some less invasive than others, and some less frightening to hear, but do not fret beforehand and do not fret once you know what needs to be done regardless of how “big” or how “small” the infringement. Mentally and physically, treat yourself better than your body is treating you. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Clearly, you have more writing to do, and we need you at your best so you can give us your best in return. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you, Marc. I appreciate the thought you put into this comment. I agree with your main point; I am trying to be as positive as possible by practicing gratitude every day, not assuming I know what will happen, and keeping a sense of humor.

  7. Great news about the reviews, and I am hoping for the best on that “other” front!
